This publication is the seventh revision of Steel Bumper Systems for Passenger Cars and Light Trucks. It is a living document. As experience in its use is gained, further revisions and expansions will be issued. This 7th Edition has been expanded to include a global outlook and to include the most recent global regulatory requirements. Substantially updated, this Steel Bumper Systems Manual - SBS7 is more concise and user friendly, focusing on lightweight steel exposed and unexposed bumper systems for light duty passenger vehicles. The standards discussed in this document refer to the editions of the standards as of May 2020.
